Rorer Asset Management, LLC ("Rorer") is a Conshohocken-based firm specializing in portfolio management for equity, balanced, and fixed income accounts. The firm was founded in 1978 by Edward C. "Ted" Rorer.

In 1984, Ted Rorer developed a highly disciplined approach to managing assets. Rorer's investment objectives emphasize risk reduction and preservation of capital. The investment methodology employs strong buy and sell disciplines designed to remove as much emotion as possible from the investment decision process. Rorer's relative value investment process was engineered to achieve client investment goals with substantially less volatility than the market.

The firm offers four types of investment accounts - - large-cap equity, mid-cap equity, balanced, and fixed income - - to its diverse client base of individuals, institutions (including corporations, pension and profit-sharing plans and charitable institutions), and Union/Taft-Hartley funds.

The firm’s principal owners include Edward C. Rorer, Chairman & Chief Investment Officer; Clifford B. Storms, Jr., CFA, Executive Vice President and Director of Research plus other key officers. In 1999, the firm brought in an institutional partner, Massachusetts-based Affiliated Managers Group, Inc.
